 General role

  • Due to the continuous expansion of the school we are looking for a highly motivated individual with relevant qualifications and teaching experience in ICT / Computer Science
  • We are looking for outstanding candidates who are excited to join our school and are driven to provide education at an exceptional level.

 Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Applicants will have solid and demonstrable ICT teaching experience in the UK National Curriculum.
  • Responsible for delivering mainly ICT in KS3 (Year 7 to Year 9) and KS4 (IGCSE).
  • Report regularly to the management team regarding the students’ progress.
  • Set and mark homework according to the homework timetable
  • Hand in statistics for monthly progress as well as term grades and comments.
  • Attend staff meetings as well as personal development programs set by external qualification bodies.
  • Attend parents’ meetings as well as other extra curriculum activities or events, when required, according to notice.

 Technical Support Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the schools’ Network and IT services expanding and troubleshooting when required.
  • Maintain backup services, e-mail services, cloud service as well as domain controller service and their associated servers.
  • Regularly update the school’s website as well as social networking profiles
  • Troubleshoot printers, photocopiers, projectors, IP phones, sound system, and security system problems according to needs.
  • Closing and documenting incidents according to process specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in the field of Computer Science / Engineering
  • KYSATS approved
  • Must be a fluent English speaker
  • At least 1 years of experience in teaching KS3 ICT, ECDL, Programming (Visual Basic. NET, Python, HTML, CSS, C#, C++, Pascal, Java)
  • Experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Joomla / Drupal will be considered a strong advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Technical support / Network Engineer position
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Previous experience of international schools preferred but not essential.
  • Clean criminal record
